4 Promoters on band who will benefit MOST from CARIMI loss!

We asked the promoters below the following question.

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: As a promoter following the market...; WHICH 1 BAND will MOST benefit from CARIMI no longer being there in the market in terms of more bookings/fan base?


BOOGIE: "Hmmm I would say Dat7 after their video release. First I wouldn't like for a band like Carimi to not exist anymore; if ever the guys can't reach a conclusion with big Mickel, Richard, Carlo and manager Fito should keep the band together because we can't lose a band like Carimi in the business. It would be a big blow and us the promoters, the fans the Carimi musicians will be the big losers.

As far as Dat7 you know they have all the ingredients to integrate in the First division with Carimi and Tvice it will be hard to get there because they attract almost the same people. Bands like Kreyol La, Harmonik, and Karizma been there for more than 5 years, and Dat7 is only a year old. I think after their second album they will be there. Kreyol la have their own fan base, they just need to promote their album because Tjoe has everyone in the palm of his hand. Harmonik, I don't know, they need to do something right away; but to get to Carimi's fans, I don't know with their style of music."

CHICO: "To be honest Pat in NY Carimi isn't replaceable. That will be a tough one not having a band of that magnitude in NY. I know there are a few others. I haven't been to their events or listen to their music much to be able to make some type of comparison. If I were to pick, I'd say Karizma I think will probably benefit more in terms of booking and so on.......Unless 5LAN and JBEATZ were to become local, then it's a wrap....lol."
