We had the opportunity to listen to about 6 songs that will be on GAZZMAN DISIP's upcoming CD this past weekend at Best Definition Studios. Keep in mind that from what I was told, the CD will have about 14 songs; so this is NOT A REVIEW, but just a few thoughts on the songs that I heard...which some of them were not yet complete or mixed all the way; but good enough for me to get an idea of where COULEUR was going musically.

*KLERE YO: This is a song produced by DENER CEIDE and this is for the GAZZMAN hardcore Compas fans that want their superstar JAN YO KONEN L NAN. Yap jwen li la nan sa....with a little touch up. (VIDEO PREVIEW on another post)...YO PA KON BARE VAN....SE VAN M YE!..........ANMWEYYYYYYYY

*IT DOESN'T MATTER: This song featuring beautiful Zouk songstress Jessie Belleval has COMMERCIAL written all over it. It's catchy, it's Antilles market, it's Zouk Night programs/DJs, it's LA JEUNESSE, it's Ti medames yo pral rinmin sa. We urged him to release this one as one of the first songs from the CD.

*KE M PA JANM KONTAN POU LONTAN (Etape): COULEUR did NOT want this song to go on the CD....only because the story is too painful and personal to him in terms of some of the lyrics of the song. He explained the reason why to me.....VERY TOUCHING/MOVING. Producer Valery Lezin and myself CONVINCED him to NOT make that BIG MISTAKE because we both believe this song can score BIG for Gazzman. It is the closest song to the "OU SE" formula musically that he has sung since that song he did with Richie. MAJOR POTENTIAL "TOU GOL" on this one. Go listen to the AUDIO BREAKDOWN OF THE SONGS that we did to get more details.

*HEARTBREAK & MISERY: Dener Ceide took Gazzman in an entirely different musical direction on this one. This is a GAZZMAN that you have NEVER HEARD BEFORE in my opinion.....and that's in a good way. The artist expanding his musical wings BIG TIME. SICK BEAT on top of that too. COOLER BAY YON COULEUR DIFERAN SOU MIZIK SA......

*DEFI: Another one for the hardcore Compas fans that will certainly aim to please for sure. MAYI MOULIN AK TOUT SAUCE if you know what I mean.

*FOT PAPAM: Mizik PALE ANPIL LA. The CONTROVERSY song. The game changer. 2 people getting married only to find out that THEY ARE BROTHER & SISTER because they have THE SAME FATHER (Different Mom)....who never told them about the other. Listening to the song is like following a Hollywood movie script. LOOOOOOOOOL.

Sèl bagay, nou swete Gazzman rete pozitiv, pa chita ap voye vye djab initil sou Arly avèk Richie ki pi byen pase l. Se te youn nan bagay ki desann Disip. Lòt bagay ki pi enpòtan tou, pa janm kite bagay kon sa fèt ankò, pou mizisyen ap pran lwa nan djaz la... Youn nèg gen yon lwa bosal ki pa batize, chèche batize l, mare l lakay ou avan w'al pèfòme. Mwen swete Disip konsantre plis pou fè pwomosyon albòm lan. Avèk sa, mwen panse Disip ka gen yon chans ankò pou l pase pami youn nan djaz premye divizyon yo.
