HARMONIK vocalist MAC D. spoke to us this morning about.....(Read Below the picture)
*NEW SONG FOR THE SUMMER?
MAC D: "NO. There will be no new song for the Summer from us. It makes no sense to release a song if the CD is set to be released all the way in November. I usually prefer when a song is released not too long before the actual full cd. It makes more sense. The one time we did that was with "MWEN BOUKE" was because we were desperate to have something out on the streets. We needed it because the second CD was not working at the time, so we had to do something. We just started working in the studio for the upcoming CD, so I say in November, the fans will get new material from the group. We still have songs like "ILLEGAL", "MESI" and others that are still working for us, so there's really no urgency to drop any new songs out there."
*WHY "no" to HAITI SUMMER TOUR!
MAC D: "NO Haiti Summer tour because we had already decided that we were going to stick around here in the States. Our schedule has been set for awhile. I also feel that it's a BAD IDEA to go down there and tour with all that's happening in the country. The situation is really not ideal with all the killings and other stuff happening.
Also with the value of the Dollar having gone up down there, I also believe that the economic situation is very difficult down there at the moment for the average potential partygoer. You will get some people who do have the money to go party, but I believe it is NOT the case for most. In my opinion, KLASS and DISIP are the 2 bands that would have the best reason to go down and tour in Haiti right now, only because they are the ones that just released the latest albums on the market. Everybody else is in the studio such as us, T-Vice, Carimi. Going back to what I said, it's not ideal. We have some stuff that we're working on here in the States for the Summer.""
