ALIX TIMMER of MAXISOUND is one of the most respected HMI figures in the Florida area. His record store MAXISOUND is SOLID in terms of legacy and hot spot credentials for what's going on in the HMI. We spoke to him about KLASS' new CD; this is what he told us.



ALIX TIMMER: "In terms of the new KLASS CD, it has songs on there that are very good. It has songs that I like like #1 and #2 (Fel ak Tout Ke w and Map Marye among others); but I prefer the first CD more than this one. This CD is good but the first CD had more of a Compas Direct feel to it, whereas this one "GIN TWOP VIRE/COURBE". Having said that, I can tell you that my store has already sold about 700+ CDS ever since it came out. I sell retail and wholesale. We haven't had a CD sell as much as this Klass CD in a long time in the business. Selling quicker and faster than the first CD."

This album is indeed selling like hot cakes. That is a fact. In return I must agree with Alix Timmer on this thread. The 1st album was indeed a bigger impact in the Compas Direk. In addition I feel some songs are leaning towards the sound of Arly (Nu Look)

What makes Klass different is the original sound and grooves that they came with on the freshman album.

Dont misunderstand this album is indeed good.

But I must say the first album had way more original substance and had a superior impact on all the HMI Marlets!!!

I think this Cd is better than the first one. This CD has a mixture of slow and fast pace songs and each song has their own style. More work was done as well. Such as the vocals arrangement, the grooves and all.
