Great Review Pat. I totally agree with you about SM interpreting other band songs. He has way too many songs in his Catalogue to do that. But I hope next time he goes SM all in and out. I had a great time watching Mon Colonel performance. You can see that he's coming out slow and steady. Great performance.

I was there and thoroughly enjoyed the event..you review was spot on as it relates to the good and bad (especially the line outside )

now sa it relates to the interpreting of songs....the way I see it is that whenever you have a situation where a band has musicians that have not had a lot of time rehearsing with each other. its safer to play song that they are familiar with and some have probably played before vs. learning to play "new" (not in literal sense) they might not have played before.

The only positive I think you missed, is the fact the original core of sweet Micky was present
I'm talking about. WELTON DESIRE and ALEX TROPNAS
it was enjoyable to witness the original Loulou on stage again with his sweet guitar licks.
Let me say this, Sweet Micky has the back up to make a big splash in this industry. With big O as his manager and producer, with Ti ansyto in his corner and of course Dream Promo. Sky is the limit, all Sweet Micky needs right now is a banging album.
But the only thing I didn't like very much, is the fact Micky is not behind his keyboard. Maybe he is a little rusty and need more time to get back in the game.

Great observation patrick. I was there myself and hated the line. If the event were on a Friday or a Saturday it would have been worse but nevertheless, wonderful event. Now like you said I think sweet micky has way too many songs on his repertoire to be making interpretations, not that it's wrong but I have a problem with it after not performing so long and the curiosity level being so high from the attendees. People went to see sweet micky!!! That was my first time seeing him on stage and I do have to say that I prefer him on the keys like the old days..
